We are also developing a boutique beach resort off the beaten path in an area that is untouched by any tourism. This will be a 3-star 15-bungalow hotel with all amenities similar to the one on Otres Beach. However, it will be completely isolated from any human settlement ensuring an absolute serene setting with clean air, a fine sandy beach, and crystal clear water.
The architecture will be Khmer-style with well-insulated bamboo-covered walls and thatched roofs, an open-air restaurant with full bar, a swimming pool; all set in a lush tropical garden.
This resort will offer beach activities, such as kite surfing, windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, as well as excursions to nearby attractions, such as the caves near Kampot, Bokor Hill, trips to outlying islands and much more. The restaurant will serve up fine Khmer, Thai, Chinese, and European cuisine.
It is located in a sheltered bay, which we cannot disclose at this time in order to preserve the isolation of that place. Sihanoukville is 20 km away, which can only be reached on potholed roads by 4-wheel drive vehicles, and the transfer time to Phnom Penh is a little over 2 hours, depending on traffic. Travel to Phnom Penh, though, is on paved, well-maintained roads. The resort will provide free airport transfer and a shuttle to Sihanoukville on demand for a nominal service charge.
Tourists looking for a romantic, tropical paradise in a natural, undisturbed setting will find this a gem at affordable prices in Southeast Asia. The resort will be built with the protection of the environment in mind, that is, it will have a combination of solar and wind power, waste will be decomposed the natural way.
It will be a dream even for the experienced and world-traveled tourist seeking complete relaxation of the body and peace of mind. Here you can throw all your every-day worries overboard. It surely will be a true lovers’, and honeymooners’ paradise, but families with their children will find equal enjoyment. And in case parents want to be alone at one time or another, we will offer nanny services for their children for that time.
And last but not least, we will let the local population benefit from our project, not by providing many jobs, we can’t do that due to size of the resort (we will employ about 15 local people), but we will help the local rural population by providing food to needy families in the local village. Our guests will have the opportunity to donate money for this particular purpose. And we will add a 5% surcharge to every restaurant and bar bill. The money collected this way together with the donations will go towards this food program. It goes without saying that we will lay open the disbursements of the donations. Nothing will go to the resort. We want to stay in touch with our guests even after they have left so they know what we have achieved with their help.
